  1. Enjoy Beach Life

    Cayucos is home to a beautiful coastline perfect for surfing, swimming, and tidepooling. There are sandy beaches and sheltering bluffs low enough for frequent Coastal Access. Offshore rocks offer whitewater displays and good surf. Please stop by our office for a complimentary tidebook!

  2. Hiking

    The Central Coast offers some of the most picturesque hiking you can find. Nearby favorites include Estero Bluffs State Park Trail, Headlands Trail, and Montana de Oro. Click here to explore more of the area’s trails.

  3. Drive Highway 1

    Highway 1 has so much to offer – stop and sightsee on the beautiful coastline. Check out Big Sur, Heart Castle, sea lions, Cayucos tide pools, & more.

  4. Something Sweet

    If you’re in Cayucos, a stop inside the Brown Butter Cookie Company is a must. You’ll find full operation of their cookie factory and be greeted with a sample. They’re known on the coast for their original brown butter sea salt cookies. Ice cream more your thing? Cayucos Candy Counter will not disappoint. It’s got tons of candy, gelato, ice cream, and chocolate. Bonus that it’s located right on the Cayucos pier.

  5. Dog Beach

    Cayucos is the ideal dog-friendly destination. Dogs are welcomed in the water and happily run up and down the beach. Several restaurants and hotels also welcome furry friends.

  6. Celebrate 4th of July

    There’s no better place to celebrate 4th of July! Every year, Cayucos hosts a patriotic parade celebration with sand sculpture contests, a BBQ, and of course, amazing fireworks display off of the pier. Dale Kaiser himself makes sure every home in town has an American flag to help celebrate!

  7. Play Cards

    Old Cayucos Tavern is an iconic saloon with live music and card games every weekend. You can find poker games running every Friday and Saturday night. They also have pool & shuffleboard and a great bar.

  8. Dine at the Cass House

    The Cass House is a wonderful place to have a glass of wine and dinner. It offers boutique rooms, a bakery, grill, and a venue for special gatherings. Stop by on Mondays (9/11-10/30)  for “Community Night” with live music & a special menu.

  9. Treat Yourself to a Massage

    This is the perfect place to relax and take care of yourself. Bodywork offers pure relaxation, therapeutic touch, and healing. They specialize in many different massage techniques.

  10. Go For a Bike Ride

  11. Farmer’s Market

    Cayucos Farmers Market is open every Friday 10am-12:30pm, Memorial Day through Labor Day. You can find the best local produce, plants, flowers, and products our farmers have to offer.

  12. Go Fishing, Boating, & Kayaking

    The name Cayucos derives from the Spanish word cayuco which means a fishing canoe. Cast a line off the Cayucos pier or head out to go kayak fishing. It’s the perfect place!
